Pink Board / Iso-Pink (XPS)
−50°C to +75°C
Main applications
- XPS pink board for floors
- walls and roofs
Key Features
The most widely used building insulation
XPS (extruded polystyrene) — the standard insulation on building sites, needing no specialist skill to install
Excellent water and vapour resistance
A closed-cell extruded structure absorbs almost no moisture compared with EPS — ideal for floors and basements
High compressive strength for floors
The extruded structure gives high compressive strength with no distortion under load — the first choice for floor insulation
Low thermal conductivity (λ ≈ 0.028–0.034)
The extruded foam structure has lower conductivity than EPS, giving better performance at the same thickness
Cut on site
Cut easily with a knife or power saw and trimmed to fit immediately

Applications
Floor insulation
- •Insulation layer beneath underfloor heating
- •Vapour-resistant insulation board in basement floors
Basement & external wall insulation
- •Waterproof insulation board on basement external walls
- •Base insulation in external wall systems
Roof insulation
- •Insulation board on flat roofs
- •Insulation board on pitched roofs
Refrigeration & cold storage
- •Floor and wall insulation board in cold stores
- •Insulation panels for refrigerated plant
Notes
- ※Where a fire rating is required, use flame-retardant XPS or PIR board instead — standard XPS is combustible.
- ※Prolonged UV exposure yellows the board and degrades its properties — a separate finish is needed outdoors.
