Super 3000 Ceramic Hardener / Bond
up to 3000°F after firing
Main applications
the strongest inorganic bond for fixing ceramic fiber
Key Features
Bonds at 1650°C
An inorganic ceramic binder that holds its bond where ordinary organic adhesives would burn away
Designed for ceramic fiber
Excellent affinity with RCF, alumina and ceramic fiber materials — a strong bond with no delamination
Rigid once fired
Firing forms an inorganic crystalline structure — no delamination even under heat and vibration
Chemical and water resistance
As an inorganic binder it resists acids and alkalis, and recovers its bond strength when re-dried after moisture exposure
Brush or spray application
A suitable viscosity for brushing, spraying or dipping

Applications
Hardening & reinforcing ceramic fiber
- •Surface hardening of blanket and board (as a rigidizer)
- •Erosion-resistant surface coating at high temperature
Refractory lining bonding
- •Bonding and fixing ceramic modules and boards
- •Filling and bonding joints between formed refractories
Hot equipment repair
- •High-temperature bonding to seal furnace wall cracks
- •Adhesive for partial refractory lining repairs
Specialty uses
- •Binder for fabricating ceramic shapes
- •Binder for high-temperature foundry sand
Notes
- ※A drying stage before firing is essential — heating too quickly releases steam explosively and can cause cracking.
- ※Stir thoroughly before application; store cool to prevent gelling during long storage.
